Hard Drive Recovery - Unison Operating System

The Unison Operating System (RTOS) is a System on Chip (SoC), multi-core and DSP optimized open source RTOS that offers Linux compatible solution.

The current version of Unison is completely POSIX compliant, offering application portability and low cost hardware implementation options for embedded microcontrollers and distributed multi-core and multiprocessor systems like autonomous robots and vehicles. It requires a minimum of 1K byte to run 2 threads.

Unison was developed as a runtime for embedded heterogeneous multiprocessors which were used for military signal processing. The goal of Unison was to provide a software infrastructure to support the construction of inexpensive, lower power, mobile and portable super computers. Unison has been deployed in thousands of systems in the field.

Unison uses the Remedy Debugger, the Eclipse development environment, MPLAB, HEW on Microsoft Windows, Linux and Solaris. Unison has common technology and elements with DSPnano RTOS.

Unison was the flagship product of Multiprocessor Toolsmiths which became RoweBots Research Inc. The Unison Operating System has been in the field for many years. Hundreds of applications have been fielded using its ultra tiny size, Linux and POSIX interface compatibility and its seamless integration for micro controller development. It is fast and easy to use.

Unison was one of the original DSP RTOS solutions and the only POSIX based solution. It has evolved over the years. It has not parted from its roots offering signal processing integration, performance and System on Chip (SoC) support packages.

Unison is suited for SoC solutions from all leading vendors. Unison is well designed, documented, supported and integrated to create immediate long term success with minimal risk and training.
