Sonnet Technology Fusion F2 - RAID Data Recovery Services

Sonnet Fusion F2 is a 2-drive portable SATA RAID storage system, offering 1TB of storage in a small enclosure. Sonnet Fusion F2 is designed for applications such as on-location video capture because it provides the necessary speed, reliability, ruggedness, and above all the portability required in such situations.

Fusion F2 delivers highest levels of performance using the advanced eSATA technology, offering transfer rates up to twice as fast as FireWire. The system is connected to a Sonnet Tempo SATA Pro ExpressCard/34 installed in a MacBook Pro. The drives are configured as a RAID 0 striped volume. With all these features, the compact Fusion F2 is capable of up to 190 MB/sec sustained read and write data transfers.

With its drives configured as a RAID 1 mirrored volume, Fusion F2 still allows for high HD fed while offering safe data transfer from popular memory cards such as Panasonic P2, Sony SxS Pro, or similar memory cards in the field.

Featuring two 3 Gb/sec eSATA data ports, the device can be connected via a direct SATA II interface with no bridge chip between the F2’s case and SATA II drives. As a result, there is no slowdown in communication and hence no delay in data transfer.

To power the system, Fusion F2 is provided with a spare FireWire port. Fusion F2 is compatible with all models of myPower ALL batteries from Tekkeon at an 8-19V setting. The system works with different platforms such as Mac, Windows or Linux when compatible host bus adapter is installed.

Ensuring data safety in these high-capacity devices is a difficult task. However, with the availability of different types of data recovery solutions, the task of recovering data from a failed disk is quite possible now. For more details, please contact WeRecoverData.
